Our “Explorers in Action” Afterschool Programs are designed for children aged 3 to 6 years, offering a dynamic environment where learning and play go hand in hand.

Inspired by Hedgie, our playful and curious mascot, we’ve crafted each session to align with the values of adaptability, curiosity, friendship, and playfulness. Children will dive into themed classes that not only entertain but also nurture essential life skills, preparing them for their future endeavors.

Program Philosophy

At Hedgie’s Huddle, we believe in the power of thematic learning to ignite curiosity and foster holistic development. Each session is thoughtfully designed to engage children in activities that promote exploration and social connections, all while embracing the core values inspired by Hedgie.

Through these afterschool programs, we aim to provide a balanced experience where children can learn, play, and grow within a supportive community. Our focus on small group settings ensures that each child receives individualized attention, fostering a deeper connection with the material and their peers.

 

Our Group Provider

Our programs are led by an experienced pediatric occupational therapist who has spent over a decade working with children across various developmental stages. Her expertise allows her to create and adapt activities that are both engaging and developmentally appropriate for each age group.

With a deep understanding of child development, she ensures that every child’s unique needs are met, promoting emotional regulation, social skills, and resilience. Our provider’s dedication to fostering positive attachments and a love for learning makes each session a transformative experience.

Our Childcare Provider has a decade of experience working with children in various capacities, including school-based pre-K programs for children with diverse abilities and individualized programs tailored to each child’s unique needs. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and specialized training in DIR/Floortime and Sensory Integration, she is equipped to support children in unlocking their full potential and thriving in a shared group experience.
